The best electric scrubbers get into grimy nooks and crannies, cleaning them in a fraction of the time it would take with a cloth or sponge (with no elbow grease from you). Some come with extendable handles for hard-to-reach places and different attachment heads to handle every task. Not all of them are worthy of your dollar though, so we tested 15 models to find out which ones have the cleaning power to make your space sparkle.

Its rubber grips and thick circumference make it comfortable for extended use, and it comes with eight brush heads.

There’s only one power level, and too much pressure on unsealed grout can break that apart a bit.

This electric scrubber is our favorite for many reasons, including its expansive selection of brushes for different tasks. There are two umbrella brush heads for larger surface areas and messes, two straight brushes for windows, and two flat brushes for grills, stoves, ovens, and sinks. It also comes with two handy corner brushes for getting into dirty crevices.

While cleaning, we found the tool to have a user-friendly design that's ergonomic and comfortable to hold, thanks to its rubber comfort grips. The width of the handle might be a little large for smaller hands, but we didn't have any problems with it ourselves.

Along with some Clorox, this electric scrubber effortlessly lifted away filth and tough stains. We particularly liked the convenient and easy twist-and-lock mechanism for attaching and detaching the brush heads. They stayed on securely the entire time we cleaned too. There’s only one speed setting, but it was totally sufficient for most cleaning tasks. It's used often on a tile and porcelain shower, and it gives it a thorough clean every time. Just be careful with unsealed grout. With too much pressure, it can break that apart a bit.

We found that it was easier to operate when we scrubbed in the same direction as the brush motion, and after six months of use, none of the bristles frayed. It holds an incredible charge too. The amount of bodily stress put into deep cleaning is hugely noticeable; we wish we'd gotten this scrubber sooner.

In all, this is a great-value tool with multiple uses. Just note that the USB-C port cap, while a nice addition for protecting the charging port, is not permanently affixed to the device and could easily get lost.

Handle Length: 8 inches | Charge Time: 3.5 hours | Battery Life: 90 minutes | What’s Included: Scrubber, two umbrella, two straight, two flat, and two corner brushes (one soft and one hard bristle)

It has an ergonomic rubber grip and is efficient at cleaning.

It only comes with one scour pad; other attachments are sold separately.

If you’re on a budget but need a little extra help scrubbing, the Black+Decker Power Scrubber Brush has made cleaning shower shelves much more efficient. (We've even used it to shine up our golf clubs.) The tool's compact design and rubber grip are comfortable to use, even during longer cleaning sessions, and despite the scrubber's small size and single speed, its impressive cleaning power that trumps manual scrubbing methods by far.

During testing, we found this electric scrubber to be practical, with sufficient cleaning power for tile floors, giving them a thorough clean. The device is lightweight and easy to operate, even on higher walls with an outstretched arm. Although the scrubber comes with only one attachment variation—two heavy-duty scour pads—it's easy to switch out for other attachments, but you’ll have to purchase those separately.

We tested one of these extra attachments (the bristle brush) and thought it was a good, versatile cleaning tool that made grout lines gleam. However, we did notice that this head tended to splatter more than the scour pad. We thought the scour pad would have to be replaced pretty quickly with intense use, but it actually lasted us a full five months.

While it's not rechargeable and requires battery replacements (four AA batteries are included), we found that this electric scrubber offers exceptional value for money and has made cleaning small areas much faster than ever before.

Handle Length: 9.4 inches (whole tool) | Charge Time: None (battery operated) | Battery Life: Varies | What’s Included: Scrubber, 2 scrub pads, four AA batteries

The size of the handle is convenient and comfortable, and it can tackle tough dirt and stains easily, even on high walls.

Taller users may have to bend to reach certain surfaces.

This scrubber is stands out from the rest because it gives you an extra 42 inches for cleaning high-up spaces, like tiled walls, and all around the bathtub without having to climb inside. You get a good amount of attachments, including big and small flat brushes, a side brush for corners, and heads designed for windows and waxing. We found the pointed brush especially effective at cleaning hard-to-reach crevices.

This tool is comfortable to hold, and despite lacking padding or a rubberized grip, the handle fit well in our hand. It only has one power setting, which was effective on most surfaces and stains. That said, a little more power would have been appreciated. It's also worth noting that the edges of certain brush attachments may be too harsh for some surfaces, so when choosing your brush, make sure its compatible with your desired surface.

The scrubber has a locking mechanism for adjusting the scrubbing head angle; this was easy to use and gave us more flexibility for cleaning different surfaces. Just note that the extendable length fell slightly short when it was time to clean the bathroom floor. This will require some bending over for taller users.

After six months of use, the only wear and tear is a bit of scuffing on the plastic near the brush head. The bristles on the brushes themselves haven't softened or frayed, and we use it every other week. The difference it's made in the cleanliness of our bathroom is pleasantly obvious—it's a beast at ridding grime and soap scum.

Handle Length: 19.6–41.5 inches | Charge Time: 3.5 hours | Battery Life: 90 minutes | What’s Included: Scrubber, extended handle, 5 cleaning brush heads

The rubber grip makes it easy to handle, as do the twist-on heads, and it's able to get into nooks and crannies.

We wouldn't recommend it for scrubbing the floor, since you'd have to get on your hands and knees to do so.

If you need your electric scrubber to access tiny spaces like sideboard edges and the corners of floors, walls, and windows, we like the Rubbermaid Reveal Power Scrubber 18-Piece Kit. This thing can also tackle grout lines and gets into the edges around sinks and faucets effortlessly. We primarily use it for dishes and cleaning the stove and countertops—anything that needs a good scrubbing at standing height.

It has a simple design and comes with a bunch of attachments and accessories, including an extra-large scrubber brush head, a soft bristle brush, a small grout brush (which was superb at reaching into smaller crevices and corners), a Velcro head, and several scrubber and microfiber pad refills. It also comes with four AA batteries (which we've only had to replace once in six months).

The device is lightweight and has a comfortable rubberized grip that keeps it securely in your hand. We found that using this scrubber was much less tiresome than using a manual scrubbing brush, although it still took a while to really get the dirt off some surfaces. There aren’t many other perks to this inexpensive device, such as multiple intensities or an extendable handle, but it does provide 60 rotations per second, is water resistant, and is quite durable. It's also maintained its speed and vigor the entire time we've had it.

Changing out scrubber heads was easy, thanks to its straightforward twist-on and-off mechanism. We found the overall design of the scrubber intuitive and user friendly, and we didn’t need to closely study the manual to work out how to use it. Cleaning the brush was also easy, as you just need to swirl the device in a bucket of water and wipe it with a cloth to remove any excess dirt or residue.

Handle Length: 11.6 inches (whole tool) | Charge Time: None (battery operated) | Battery Life: Varies | What’s Included: Scrubber, XL head, large head, soft bristle brush, grout brush, Velcro head, six scrubber pad refills, six microfiber pad refills, four AA batteries

It has an ergonomic design and a comfortable silicone grip, and the durable bristles do not fray.

It’s a little messy and doesn’t come with a softer brush for more delicate surfaces.

For tough stains and seriously grimy jobs, like scrubbing litter boxes or grill accessories, the Iezfix Electric Spin Scrubber offers easy and detailed cleaning at a reasonable price. It has a durable construction and powerful motor, and it comes with a variety of brush attachments, including a flat cloth pad, flat brush, pointed corner brush, and dome brush. Designed to handle a wide range of cleaning tasks effectively, we found the brush to be comfortable to hold and carry around, even with extended use.

The handle has a comfortable silicone grip and evenly balanced weight distribution, with a slightly heavier head that provided added pressure to the dirty surface without us needing to put in the extra elbow grease. The scrubber’s brush attachments have firm bristles, and there’s only one extremely powerful intensity setting. While this offered excellent cleaning performance, its high speed also produced a significant amount of foam and splashed water and cleaning solution everywhere. The bristles have begun to stick out in different directions after months of constant use, but for under $40, we'll take it.

This compact and lightweight device managed to get deep into grout grooves and efficiently removed stubborn stains; however, it might be a little overkill for simpler, everyday tasks. The brush heads have consistently impressed us when cleaning shower walls, although a soft-bristle option would have been nice for gentler tasks. It's a fantastic option for getting rid of grease and soap scum; just keep in mind that you may have to replace the brush heads more often than some other options on our list.

Handle Length: 16.5 centimeters | Charge Time: 3 hours | Battery Life: 90 minutes | What’s Included: Scrubber, dome brush, cone brush, flat brush, cloth brush and head, charging adapter

We love the Klever Electric Spin Scrubber With 8 Brushes because it’s powerful, comfortable to grip, and has a hassle-free attachment system. For a less-expensive option that rings in around $20, we recommend the tried and true BLACK+DECKER Power Scrubber Brush.

To come up with our list of the best electric scrubbers, we tested 15 different models in our lab. We looked at each product’s size, weight, construction, attachments, extra features, and power to determine its effectiveness, ease of use, and durability across various cleaning tasks.

First, we assembled each electric scrubber, noting how easy or hard this was and how clear the instructions were. Then we tried out all the different attachments and settings to see how well they did with cleaning and maneuvering about all areas of the bathroom.

We cleaned designated sections of tile floors using both manual and electric scrubbers, comparing their ease of use and cleaning efficiency. We also tried the scrubbers with and without a cleaning solution to see how this affected their performance.

We assessed how well each electric scrubber cleaned grout and removed a mud mask from the floor, paying attention to bristle strength and precision. After we were done cleaning, we inspected the brush heads, noting any damage or signs of wear to the bristles before cleaning them thoroughly at a sink and noting how easy or hard it was to do so.

For long-term insights, we took the scrubbers home and reevaluated their performance after six months.

When shopping for electric scrubbers, it's important to consider the hardness of the brush material. “Match the brush to the job,” says Ryan Knoll, owner of professional home cleaning service Tidy Casa.

Harder bristles are typically more effective at tackling tough stains and serious grime, particularly on surfaces like tile and grout. However, they may not be suitable for more delicate surfaces or everyday cleaning tasks since harder bristles can cause scratches or damage. Softer bristles are gentler and ideal for more fragile surfaces like glass or acrylic.

Some electric scrubbers come with different attachments with both hard and soft bristles so you can choose the right one for the task at hand. Our overall best pick, the Klever Electric Spin Scrubber comes with eight.

Eventually, your brush heads will experience wear and tear (this is normal!), so double check that the brand you purchase from offers replacements too.

Electric scrubbers are typically powered by rechargeable batteries, which are either built in and can be charged by USB cable or a power outlet, or removable and replaceable options, like AA or AAA batteries. These batteries are necessary to power the scrubbing action and have the added benefit of eliminating the need for cords, giving you greater mobility and flexibility during cleaning.

The life of each scrubber’s battery varies depending on the model, the intensity and frequency of use, and the size of the battery. Each of the rechargeable models on our list have a runtime of 90 minutes. The battery life of the remaining products will depend on the batteries you purchase.

There are many different attachments available for electric scrubbers, each with its own intended use and benefits. In addition to soft- and hard-bristle brushes, some scrubbers come with flat brush heads, which are ideal for cleaning large flat surfaces like floors, countertops, and walls. Others include a corner brush for reaching and cleaning tight corners and edges where dirt and grime love to accumulate.

Grout brushes are also available, which are specifically designed to scrub grout lines between tiles. Other attachments include sponge brushes for gentle scrubbing and wiping on delicate surfaces like glass or ceramic, and upholstery brushes for cleaning fabric surfaces like sofas, chairs, and car interiors. You can also find scraper attachments for removing stubborn stains, dried-on dirt, or adhesive residue, and detail brush attachments with smaller heads for precision cleaning in smaller or more intricate areas, such as around fixtures, vents, or appliances.

Perhaps one of the most useful features to have on an electric scrubber is an extension wand or extendable handle. These will allow you to reach high or hard-to-access areas, such as ceilings, shower and tub walls, or tall cabinets, without the use of a step stool or ladder. Our favorite extendable pick is the HattyRoom Rechargeable Cordless Spin Scrubber.
